Privacy Policy

Account information you give us: your email address, handle, display name, bio, county and city, and any profile or vehicle photos you upload.

Content you create: events you host, RSVPs, stories, garage entries, messages, and reports you file.

Location you choose to share: when you tap the recenter control, your device's approximate location is used in your browser to centre the map. Your device location is not stored on our servers.

Event locations you enter are converted to coordinates using Mapbox so your event can appear on the map.

To operate Tuned: showing events near you, delivering messages and notifications, and displaying profiles and garages to other members.

To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, enforcing the Community Guidelines, and acting on blocks.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising profiles on you.

Public by default: your profile, handle, garage, and public events you host or RSVP to.

Private to you: your saved events, your block list, your notifications, and your draft events.

Private to participants: direct and group messages, and any photos attached to them.

Lovable Cloud hosts our database, authentication, and media storage.

Mapbox provides map tiles and address lookup. Map requests include the map area being viewed.

Google is used only if you choose to sign in with Google, in which case Google shares your email address and basic profile with us.

The following describes optional usage measurement when available in Tuned. Only if you choose Allow measurement, we measure daily and weekly activity, returns on later dates, public event views and directions taps using our existing cloud infrastructure. Signed-in activity is linked to your account ID; guests receive a random browser ID that expires after 30 days. These persistent identifiers make the data account- or browser-linked, not anonymous. No advertising identifier is collected, and these measurements are not shared for cross-company advertising or data brokerage.

These measurements do not include your messages, passwords, precise device location, search text or raw page URLs. Only authorized moderators can view aggregate growth reports; raw records are restricted to database administrators. Existing account creation records provide registration totals. Growth measurement records older than 90 days are deleted by an hourly cleanup. A failed cleanup can delay deletion and requires administrative follow-up. Deleting your account also removes operational measurement records linked to that account in the account-deletion transaction. Guest records are not linked back to your account and expire through the same 90-day growth cleanup. Browser ID expiry and signing out do not themselves erase server records. Contact us for a deletion request.

Measurement starts off. When these controls are available, you can allow it or withdraw permission in Tuned’s Privacy and choices controls, separately for each account or guest use on this browser. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are also respected. Turning it off stops new submissions, but cannot recall a request already sent or erase existing records. Your browser or app storage reset clears the choice and returns measurement to off. Our hosting providers necessarily receive connection metadata when serving requests; this analytics payload does not add IP addresses or user-agent strings.

You can request account deletion from Profile → Settings → Account. On successful completion, Tuned removes your login and account-owned garage entries, stories, RSVPs, saved events, follows, conversation memberships and notifications. Your profile record is retained and deactivated: its handle is replaced, its display name becomes “Deleted member,” and its bio, avatar reference and city are cleared. Hosted events are cancelled rather than deleted, and their cover references are removed. Message rows may remain to preserve conversation order, but their bodies are replaced with “[message removed]” and their attachment references are cleared. Account-linked operational measurement rows are removed in the same database transaction as login deletion. Guest measurement records are not linked back to your account and expire through the 90-day cleanup. If deletion fails, Tuned reports that it is incomplete; some earlier cleanup may already have occurred. Retry or contact support rather than assuming the account has been fully removed.

Reports and safety records are retained so we can enforce the guidelines consistently.

Tuned is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age; if we learn we have, we delete the account and its data.
